Southern Nationals 3 Questions

What do you do in the next 2 weeks to prepare for the Southern Nationals? What to take? What not to take?
It’s my first big match, so I am working out a little, hope to drop a few pounds, and increasing my practice time. I’m taking the best spotter in the world (I know this because he told me he was), and I’m going to leave all my worries at home. I understand that Fat, Calories and Cloistral don’t exist below the Mason Dixon line. Cheers Dave

The "leave the worries at home" part says it all. The more relaxed you are, the better you'll shoot. Plan to shoot your average. The point of practice is to raise your average, not get psyched up for a big match. Consider the So Nats practice for your NEXT big match. (All matches are practice.) I personally plan to taper off on the practice the last week.
Get there early, try the airguns, practice the smallbore and by all means get into a team for the Coonass Team Shoot Friday afternoon. It really breaks the ice. Speaking of which, bring an ice chest, sunscreen and a light raincoat just in case. That's about it. Plan to laugh a lot. Find the Benton Gun Club tent and introduce yourself. We'll let you meet Chicken George.
Watch out for Culpepper.

Dave, If you've never been to a Registered match before be ready to have your guns weighed and measured. Don't be so close on any of the requirements: weight, trigger pull or scope height that the just getting to the line will be a hassle.
Also, most big matches enforce the 5 bullet rule on the firing line and the use of a open chamber indicator in the gun at all times when not shooting.
Good Luck.
