Sure hope you can point us in the right direction.Im taking my neighbor and his family along with mine down to Valdez for the first time before heading up to Chitina to dipnet on the 4th,but I was wondering are there salmon hitting from the shore in Valdez anywhere between June 1st and the 3rd?
Then in late June Im taking my other neighbor down there hopefully to fish also before he leaves for Iraq.Anyhow thanks for any help on where to look.Daniel

Sorry but very little salmon fishing form shore in that time period.  You might get lucky and catch a king from the dock but it is tough.

I am bear hunting the first week of June.

In late June it is also doubtfull.  I might be around though.  I have a class in Wasilla for 2 weeks and should be back by then.  Keep in contact and maybe we can do a halibut/rockfish run in the boat.  Especially if the guy is leaving for Iraq.

Atleast that opens our option now of driving the Denali Hiway for our first time.And now we'll hit some stream along the way there.And hopefully I'll spot a bear for him,sure would like for him to get a critter before he leaves.

Thanks for the invite for a quick day run for fish,I'll throw that his way,as he is still up in the wind If he is going to Iraq or not.My other neighbor Im taking fishing also and hopefully up to the slope to show his wife and him, how pretty it is before he leaves.

Im always giving them all halibut,salmon and caribou and I went with him yesterday to get a new truck just so he can get into hunt'n and fish'n We'll be coming down to Valdez near the end of June begging of July with him also,so I'll keep in touch and again Thanks for all you've done for the vets and for the invite.Daniel
