Tasco elevation knob screwed all the way out of the scope

I bought a Tasco air rifle scope several years ago.
It is variable power, and has parallax adjustment.
It has a turret elevation knob, and a standard windage knob.
I used it on a .22 rifle, and it worked fine.

I recently bought a RWS Diana 34 pellet rifle.
I bought high rings, and mounted the Tasco scope.
In trying to adjust the Tasco scope for elevation, I unscrewed the turret all the way out of the scope.

I have since read here of "barrel drop" and the suggestion of using an RWS C-Mount or other adjustable rings.
I plan to order the C-Mount.
When I get it, will the scope likely work if I screw the turret back in?
Or did I break something when I screwed the turret all the way out?

If the scope is broken, where would be the best place to send it for repair?

ironfoot, I actually do not know if your scope is broken but what I wanted to suggest is that you only use scopes designed to be used in air-rifles like yours because the recoil of springer rifles will break regular scopes.

I found that out the hard way when I put a regular hunting 4X Leupold on a RWS Diana 54 and had to send the scope back to Leupold for service because it broke.

If your scope is broken there is an outfit in Florida that services older Tasco scopes for about $35.00, I sent a scope to be repaired but I can't locate the information right now, maybe somebody else here can provide the information for you or you can try to get the information from the Bushnell people that took over Tasco.  They will not service the older Tasco scopes but will give you information on who can do the work.
