Seeing a lot of frames for sale....

I bet folks are anticipating the G-2, and getting rid of the old ones thinking nobody will want them when the G-2 comes out.  But will they be right or wrong?  Will the G-2 be better?  A lot of folks switched to Encores and got rid of the Contenders, only to switch back again at considerable expense.  I am going to wait and see.

Yup I thing you'll see a number of Contenders out there and given a little time you won't see any. Kind of like the Ruger Secruity Six, used to be a dime a dozen and now nothing. Good Shooting.  Jerry J

     I hope you are right about people getting rid of their Contender frames.  I could use 2 S/S frames right now.  At a good price of course

I'm buying as many as I can. I might have one for each barrel before long.  :eek: I'm hoping they will want them later. Not that I want to sell them but they will be in demand. There is just too much depending on the G2 being the "Solve all Problems" and if the G2 starts having problems some may wish they kept the Contender frames.  :(
I might have to look into getting a G2 when the hype goes away.

I sure hope you guys are right about folks excessing Contender frames in anticipation of the G2.  I sure hope that it's not because they are giving up on handguns in general and giving into the Antis!  There not only seem to be Contenders for sale in my neck of the woods, but lots and lots of handguns in general on the 2nd hand market.

Hope it's only because folks are upgrading!

im thinking im going to get into the contender scene by getting a used framed and hopefully the first gun show after the G2 comes out ill be able to get a steal.

I've been down this road over the G2 ever since the 2000 SHOT Show, so I'll pass comment except to say..... if any of you run across some Contender easy-open pre-fire frames for sale, blue or stainless, please forward the sellers contact info on to me.
