finally got the 25-06 to group
« on: May 23, 2005, 08:41:04 AM »
Went out this morning and finally got the 25-06 to shoot a 1" group at a 100yds. I think alot of the problem was with the high scope mounts, so by putting the round pipe insulation over the comb and taping with electrical tape made the old chin rest on the stock alot tighter. Now will play with some more loads and hope to gain alittle more. Got back from the range, had a Allens elastic shell holder, slipped that over the tape and now you can't tell there's tape there. I guess this is the fun of owning a Nef!!!!  The barrel survived as not being used as a fence post.  Zeak

Zeak, any chance you can include pics of your "cheek piece" mod?

Cheers

Good job zeke!  Sounds like you had a bit of paralax going on there.  Do you wear glasses by chance?  I understand that makes it worse.
God, Family, and guns, in that order!
