Ruger Mark I ???
« on: June 03, 2005, 04:28:10 PM »
Greetings all,

I will be the first to admit that my handgun knowledge is slim to none.  The only one I own is a Ruger single six .22 that my dad left me.   I've spent my entire life around long guns.  Shotguns are my passion.

That being said, I'm always looking for a deal.  Today I came across a Ruger .22 cal Mark I at an estate sale.  I would put the gun at 95%.  It has custom wood grip.  The description says that it's a "tack driver" for what that's worth.

I really know nothing about this gun.  Can someone give me an estimate on value?  It was marked at $250 today.  To my knowledge it did not sell.  Everything that is left at the end of today goes down to 50% off in the morning.  I'm thinking seriously about picking it up for $125.  I gotta believe it's worth that much.

What do you guys think?

Thanks,
Mike

If it's all you say it is...run, don't walk.  Make sure you are first in line and buy that gun before someone else beats you to it.

BTW...where is that estate sale and what time are they opening the doors anyway friend?

The gun sold for full price on Friday afternoon.  Had it been there Sat. morniing, it was going home with me.

What'ya gonna do?  Oh well..........

My only solace is a Sweet 16 Belgian made that is on it's way now.  I might have over paid, but this gun reminds me of my father every time I look at it.  Can't wait until it arrives.   :D

I own the standard model Ruger 22 LR and have shot 7 rounds thru the same hole. A Mark 1 for $125 is a steal. I'd be first in line. :D
