Heyya Ya'll
                       Does anyone load 32 H&R mag?  I just made a deal on the wire and bought two for my wife.  I don't know much about the caliber though.  Is anyone out there reloadin this round?  If so, what are you using for the components?

Don't use it, but I think it's a dandy little cartridge. A fellow shooter here in Iowa got a pair for his spouse and did quite well with them.

Hope someone with experiance can jump in here with some data cause I enojy readin about that stuff!

Howdy Pard,

I picked up a pair for my Lovely Bride. Everyone was telling me to use TiteGroup. I couldn't get the small charge to meter consistently on my 550B.  I am useing 4.2gr of Hogdon HS-6, Starline 32 H&R brass, 115gr RNFP from Hunters Supply(this is bullet for the 32-20), and Winchester small pistol primer.  I haven't checked the velocity but it shoots very well out of the gun.

Don't now but used to. I used W231 and the Lyman 311318 (I think) bullet. That is a gas check bullet which I needed as I was using it in a TC for NRA Hunter Pistol Silhouette. I think you can get a near copy of that bullet without gas check from several sources. Nice little round. You'll like it.

I once owned a Ruger in it but it wouldn't shoot for beans. Even after a barrel change. Most likely the problem was the throat size in the cylinder but neither me nor Ruger could make it shoot so I dumped it.

Every once in a while you hear of someone getting a super deal.  Looks like it was you this time.  You'll have to tell us how they shoot compared to the .38's around.

                    Dang!!!   :eek:  am I glad you said that!  I thought it was pretty good deal as a SASS shooter I know just bought one of these guns new at $516.00 on Saturday.  I am quite happy to finally, for the first time in my life be at the right place at the right time.

                   Course I gotta ad the shipping and the FFL fee and the DROS fees for the state.  Geeez I am talking myself into a state of depression   :grin:  :grin:     :wink:   ..........NOT!

I reload for the 32 with both JHP and LSWC.  Getting the bullet moving slow enough for the 90 grain LSWC (around 900 FPS) requires small amounts of most powders that in my experience don't meter very well.  HS-6 will meter pretty well but at lower pressures tends to leave a lot of pepper in the gun.  I'm working on a load using H4227 right now.  If I get it working, I'll let you know.

A little H110 works like a champ for 100 grain JHP.

Be careful with those 70 grain bullets, they're probably for the .32 ACP.

When I was using a 32mag for CAS I used a 78gn RN cast with Starline brass and Federal 100 primers.

2.2gn (Hercules) Bullseye    800fps
2.8gn  (Hercules)Unique      855fps
2.3gn           IMR 700X         803fps
