CMP South Store

I will be making a trip back east. I am thinking about going to the CMP South store in Anniston, Alabama. I am going there to shop for a Garand. They have them in stock maybe the last ones. Question? Has anyone on the forum ever been to this store. Coments please.

Can't say that I have as there really wasn't a store when I retired from the depot. Orest Michaels was and maybe still is head honcho there. He used to work for me when he was in the Army and then again as a civilian after he retired from the military.

Have you ever gone on the CMP web page? They have a nice lay out. They have a South store and a North store. The North Store is at Camp Perry. They list motels who offer discount to CMP visitors. I have a couple of Garands but can always use a 3rd.
I will wait until the weather cools  off in the east. Maybe in early Nov. :)
