I'm still researching,trying to decide between the two,are they both on par for accuracy?I know I want a clip mag instead of tube and I like the look of wood,but I guess I can live with synthetic.I like the idea of the iron sights on the 795 in case The scope is out or I want to go to peep sights.are they triggers about the same?one better than the other?one more accurate than the other.i will just be shooting either one for fun,no serious competition,and mabe some hunting here and there.Oh what a hard decision :? which one?sj

Sjones: The actions are the same. The real question you'll have to ask is how will this rifle be used. If you like going to the range and put tiny little grps on paper the 7000's for you. On the other hand if you enjoy slinging a rifle on your shoulder, wandering over hill and dale potting an occasional squirrel or rabbit, or disposing of a few varmits, the 795 is a great rifle.
The only thing that hinders the 7000 is the extra weight, probably about 2 lbs.
As for accuracy my 7000 will shoot sub MOA @ 100yds. while a standard 60 would run twice that or little more. Have Fun: :grin: <>< Duce:

The 7000 only weighs a little over 5 pounds. Pretty light. I hike all over the place with mine. It shoots very well, and it doesn't jam. The only thing is that trigger. It could be better.

Duce has it right..I had a 7000..gave it to my grandson and replaced it with a #60..both accurate, but the 7000 plays up there with the .22 rifle brands that cost hundreds$$ more.
I believe the small increase in weight works to the 7000s advantage.
The extra weight is in the barrel, so the rifle "lays in " better with little muzzle bobbing around..

The 7000 is worth much more than it's price..

BTW...aftertrying them both, i like the 10 shot clip of the 7000 much better than the tube feed of the #60..

Congrats...I know you will like it..
One thing though..I also have an 880SQ...before I had put 100 rounds through it..I filed/stoned the trigger. It is now very smooth...but very much a "hair" trigger.
When I bought the 7000, I decided I wouldn't be so hasty at stoning .
That was the right thing to do;...by the time i had put 500 rounds through it..the trigger had very much smoothed out...
