Best 22 Rifle Scope Rings???
« on: May 17, 2005, 01:36:34 AM »
I just recently picked up a nice Browning BPR 22 mag rifle and want to mount a good 1" 4x or 6x scope on it.  The rifle has the typical groved reciever.

What is the best brand/type of 22 rifle scope rings that will work on this gun?

I have had some alum 22 rifle rings in the past that broke so I assuming that a set of steel rings may be the best.

Thanks for any feedback.

I like the Burris rings.  Use them on most all of my rifles.  Lawdog

I second the Burris rings. I use Signature Zee rings with guns having a Weaver type base and Signature rings when using the Burris bases. I like having the inserts as they seem to make up for any alignment issues.

I like the Burres rings as well.  I don't know if they make the signature series for .22 mounts, but the standard .22 rings they make are the best holding and most consistent I have found.

I need to chime in too.

My first choice is Burris Signature Zee rings.  However, last night I made an exception because I had no other choice.

Ordered a set of B-Square 1" Air Sport Rings and hope they work on my Kimber 82 Government from CMP.  I have been using a BKL mount and it worled fine, I just want the scope mounted lower.  The B-Square rings will handle the slightly differen receiver grooves which are 9.5mm in width.

For steel frame 3/8" groove rails I use nothing but Millet Steel Rings.  Never one had a Millet Steel Ring set slip in the grooves.

...My choice ... Millets...they have the angle-lock feature allowing extra lateral adjustment....and they work well in metric grooves..CZs, air rifles etc.
