Ted Williams 30-30 info
« on: June 09, 2005, 03:35:17 AM »
I have a Ted Williams Model 100 30-30 that is in nice shape.  I know that winchester built this for Sears. What is it worth and will it ever gain in value.  I am thinking of selling it to finance another model 94 30-30.  The gun looks different that the other 2 94's that I own.  What is a breif history behind the TW line of guns??

In my experience, the collectors don't like the big chain renamed guns.  Therefore, the prices are lower and no collecting value.  Great shooters, don't get me wrong.  Just go for a whole lot less than the big name guns.

If I were to see one here, it would have $100 to $150 price tag on it (maybe $200 if she were pretty), it would sell, but not to me.  I bought my Win for $99 out the door and a Pre-64 Winnie for $125.  That was several years ago (6, i think), but they still come up.  These are shooters, and not the prettiest in the safe.

Good Luck
