One - I have a G2 with a 12" .357 mag barrel. I've been trying to get it to shoot at about 45 yards with .38 loads. I've tried three different loads. All seems to shoot pretty good but very HIGH. That barrel has the factory sights on it. I'm getting 1 to 1 1/2 " groups dead center vertically but about 15" high. I've run out of clicks on the sight trying to bring it down. I'm using a solid rest with out the butt of the pistol touching anything but my hand. I'm using a very light grip. I'm definitely not jerking the trigger. I even had my wife load the gun without me looking and then I fired it to see if I was flinching or not when it was unexpectedly empty. What am I missing? Other than the target that is... Do you think that it's shooting high because of the light loads? Would a faster .357 load result in a shorter time in the barrel and shoot lower? Help!!!
TWO - They DID it again! The Air Force in it's infinite wisdom and with great humor has decided that my unique talents and ability would be of better use in Europe yet again! I'm getting tired of missing hunting season! At least we'll get in the first of it this year. I'm not due there until the end of November. Just when my kids were starting to hunt here... this is NOT cool!!! Actually we are looking forward to it for all reasons except the hunting/shooting. It's expensive over there. I'm just an E-6 with 4 kids so probably won't even take any guns with me. So any way, if anyone can give me help with number one above that would be nice.
