i'm just dreaming a bit here but lets yay that NEF would send a gun for a door prise what one would you like?? i know most of us already have 223's and being a P-dog shoot it would probably have to be something small . maybe a new 204?? or a 243?? or what??

your the resident P-dog expert wes what do you think???

hey Graybread have you had any luck with them yet???(hopes and dreams)

Ya know the .204 is probably a great varminter round but how they do out of the Handis is still a little too soon to determine I think. Although early reports are showing promise. I know that the wind here in Ok can really be a stinker sometimes so maybe the .243 or even the 25-06 might be better for those situations. Then again it might be fun to actually see the little bugers explode with one of the .17 HMR's or Mach2 rounds. Maybe even a new 22-250 or 22Hornet might do the trick. I think I'd just be glad to walk away with any new rifle FREE from NEF.

.204....hands down.

Not necessarily because I think it would be the best round for prairie doggin'....mostly just because I want one real bad.

I would be tickled with either a 7-08 or .25-06. What I would REALLY like is a .257 Roberts, but, that isn't offered.

I realize the price is one very attractive factor, and a custom barrel would add to the overall cost, but if OTT started tooling barrels for NEF, there are a few chambers I would like to order.

What I would really like to see them do...is to gear up for the next wave of Varmint rounds coming down the pike...especially the newest...the 20 PPC...and offer up one of the first ones as a grand prize...(yea...I know I'm dreaming)

Nope, not yet.  It's been windy the last couple of days, plus I've been pretty much staying home trying to get caught up on some things......mainly sleep :)

I have started on finishing my new stock for it though.  I have it pretty much fitted, now I'm just sanding off the machining marks and forming it the way I want it.  

I'm taking pictures along the way and I'll post them as soon as it's done.

Thanks again for the gun.  I really appreciate it.

Yep the "fishing" was pretty good on this one I'd say.

My stock is just about finished.

I finished fitting it last night, raised the grain, and got two coats of Tung Oil on it.  

All that's left is to keep putting Tung Oil on it until the pores are filled, then coat it with Linspeed.  

I put it on the rifle and man does it feel good.  Very solid, even off hand.
