Ruger #1 sighting difficulties.
« on: July 03, 2005, 04:33:56 AM »
I've owned 2 Ruger #1's in cal. 45/70. Both shoot 6-8 inches low @ 50 yds. This is with a number of bullet weights and velocities, using factory sights. Is this supposed to be? I hate to spoil the lines of this rifle with a scope. What are my options? By the way, these rifles were purchased several years apart. I appreciate your help.

You might try some NECG aftermarket sights/peep sights.
