Different than catalog
« on: June 17, 2005, 04:47:33 PM »
Did NEF change up their stocks on the 2005’s? I bought mine new in the box from an arms show. The first letters of the serial number are “NK” and the butt stock has a white spacer and a scalloped fore arm. The new catalog shows a different stock and no white spacer. One more question, what is the difference in the heavy barrel that wal mart sells and the bull barrel that is in the catalog? (I know………I’m a Handi Rookie, please be patient)

N = NEF, K = built in 1994. I would go by the terminology used in the 2005 catalog or from the NEF/H&R web site, Walmart may be using old terminology, but the firearms they receive will be of current issue. You can look at Walmart's supplier's inventory which is Sports South, the link is in the FAQ. You can actually see what's in stock with a description of the firearm as well.
