 Found out yesterday from one of the manufactures of TC wood that they are in full production of G-2 wood. Bad news it is not the same as contender. I was told they had to retool to make the G-2 wood. Man I hate to eat crow.  :)  norm

Yea, I would believe that everything will interchange with anything they have ever made and it will come   with a stainless steel flexible skin that can be skinned off like a glove and then put on whatever you want to add to it. :-D

Either I missed it, or there was no mention of an approximate date or time frame for WHEN the G2 will actually be available to us long-suffering "Doubting Thomases."  :?  Gary T.

I talked to my local dealer on Thursday. He informed me that he had actually held a G-2 Contender in his hands. When I asked if he had one, the reply was NO he held it and looked it over at a trade show put on by one of his distributors. BTW my dealer didn't seem to impressed with the G-2, and told me to hold onto the Contenders I have.

oh yeah, i guarantee you i'll hold on to my original contenders. they are Beautiful.
there's no sense whinin around about what they did to em. i always hate when they change a automobile body style, but it usually turns out later on, that i like the newer version better. it's just hard to accept change.  :)

I read on T/C's site they changed the grip angle on the G2, I don't like the sound of that. The contender's grip angle is fine. I've shot the contender so much, a similar gun with a differant grip angle, may throw me off. Also the barrel length of the G2 barrels are 12" and 15". Why change from 10" and 14" length of the Contender, that are so popular?  8)

I think the reason they changed the grip angle was with the bigger rounds was to keep your paws away from the trigger guard.I just know no  one here ever got bit.

I like the bull barrel of the G2 rifle. Hope thats how they sell them. Never did like the tapper barrel for the contender. Just too flimsy.  KN

I called t-C again today. I guessed right, the angle on the grip was changed to keep the trigger guard from your finger. Now the bad news: They are STILL making the Omegas.Dont look for the  G2 untill summer. Now the good news: The Custom Shop is making 15 15" 375 H&H Encore barrels. I was told they are called a 3 shot.Shoot it 3 times and put that sucker away for a week or two.  Get them while they are hot. The line forms in front of me.
