nikon monarch question
« on: June 26, 2005, 04:07:56 PM »
don't know if it means anything or not, but today i was looking in my new 3.3-10,44mm UCC scope from about 10" away from the eyepiece and noticed that the vertical crosshair does not line up square with the elevation knob like the  the horizontal crosshair does with the windage knob. it appears the elevation adjustment knob is slightly at an angle to the vertical crosshair. will this effect my adjustment of the scope you think?

I've read bench rest shooters line up turrets and others (like me) line up reticles to be square to the rifle. I guess the reticle not aligning perfectly with the turrets happens. Maybe that's part of the reason why bench resters use the levels on their rifles.
