I was wondering if any of you had an encore rifle set up with a straight bull barrel. I am in the market for a new barrel and was wondering how they handled. Also any pics for ideas would be appreciated.

I have a 20" one in .500 S&W made by OTT.  Here is a link to one as I cannot get pictures to show up in the posting:

This particular set up seems to handle very nicely although I have since restocked it with a Bullberry set.  That stock can be seen in the same directory on the .405 barrel mounted but it is not a full bull profile.

What caliber you thinking of?

I have an 18" 450 marlin barrel by the custom shop. I set it up that way and tried it but didn't like the recoil. I shoot it mostly as a pistol. I think a 20-22" barrel would make a nice big bore setup. Kind of heavy though.   KN

Nice looking set up CA! Right now I am leaning towards 7-08 as the rifle will mainly be used for deer hunting in south Alabama.

I have the TC Custom Shop Full Bull .243, 26". It is easy to handle and a tack driver. I have always wanted a bull .243 and when I first saw this barrel without a frame I thought it would be nasty front heavy. NOT
I had the vendor put it on a frame with the walnut butt stock and forend. Perfect balance. It's not a all day carry gun but with the sling, I use it a lot. It likes the cheap Federal Powe Shok 100 grn ammo and all of my handloads from 80grn HP to 100grn SP's and the 105grn Hornady A-Max.
I have a 3x9x44 Swift scope on it and use it alot.
I don't know if you can get a TC Hvy Bull in 7-08 but EA Brown did have them.
