Are leaper airgun scopes any good?
« on: June 21, 2005, 03:18:43 PM »
Hi, I plan on getting the Leapers 4-16x50 AOMDL Varmint Scope w/ Illuminated Reticle. I heard from someone that their leaper scope broke on them, so I'm a little worried if it will hold up on my shadow 1000.

I'll be using it on my gamo shadow 1000 .177

Welcome to GBO, Dave01! :D  Mac11700 is looking at getting that same scope, he was dealing with a Leaper distributor, Davids Collectibles, don't know if he got one yet, but the last I knew he was pretty impressed with them and was excited about getting that scope. I myself have been thinking about getting one of the 4X Mildot minis or possibly the 3-9x50, but haven't decided yet. I'm interested in how they are in terms of FOV and clarity, haven't seen any posts on them in particular, so I'm a bit hesitant to jump on one. I know these are probably chinese built, but there are some great scopes coming out of PRC, the Mueller line comes to mind first and foremost, but they don't make an airgun rated scope that I'm aware of, if the 2-7x32 Multishot had an AO, I'd go for it in a heartbeat.

Addictive Airgunning e-zine just had a favorable review of several of the their models. Perhaps you can buy a copy of the article?
