Had a chance to handle an tear down a Franchi .22 yesterday.  First and only one I ever saw, only made in 1968.  L ittle differentb but a litle like a Rem. 24.  Any ever own one of these Franchis>

Don't know needs a new hammer spring.  You can imagine how plentiful they are for a gun made one year.

I happen to have one Popplecop. -  I think it cost $69 and change in 1970.   I have seen one since,.. at a gun shop that was being worked on.  There is one for sale in fair condition for about $385 on one of the gun auctions.  According to my owners manual there was two grades.  One had an engraved receiver and the other (like mine) as a baked on black finish.  Sorry for the late post I just ran across this.
