10mm for bear

Got a dog hunt coming up and wanted to know if you felt a model 610 smith and wesson 10mm with 200grn black talons was good?  I have a 358 winchester, custom shilen barrel with scope if you feel it is needed.  Let me know your thoughts.

In the post i answered at handgun hunting i don't think you mentioned using dogs, The only thing i would say differently is to have some one standing by with a rifle in case you don't get the job done. I have seen many a great rodeo at the tree with dogs getting killed people messing their pants, Horses scattered, people running over one another. The Ten may get the job done and i hope to hell it does. Good luck sir ......Joe......

I agree completely.  I really don't care for anything smaller than a .44 Mag. and then not for defense.  Keep the .358 handy.  Lawdog
