I hope this helps, just 2 days ago I spoke to CS about swapping my smooth (uncheckered) new TDC walnut stocks for a set of checkered walnut TDC stocks. Several months ago they told me the price difference would be $7 between the smooth and checkered buttstock. I got the new prices of smooth walnut TDC buttstock at $55 and forearm $26 and for checkered walnut the price was buttstock $66.90 and forearm $31.98. An increase from smooth to checkered buttstock $11.90 and forearm $5.98. I sent the buttstock in today to be exchanged for a checkered with me paying the difference, I am keeping the smooth walnut forearm. It is a great color match for an old H&R smooth (uncheckered) straight english style (some call them squire (?) stocks) and I will match up the new checkered walnut TDC buttstock with a Buff Classic checkered walnut forearm and put that set on my 7x57 Mauser heavy barrel Handi. I currently have a nice Fajen Walnut buttstock (uncheckered) on it with the Buff Classic forearm. The uncheckered walnut Fajen buttstock and a nice old smooth walnut forearm will probably go on my newest H&R, a .22 LR Sportster with open sights from a .22 Hornet added, it makes a great plinking and squirrel gun....Jennifer told me they were closing and all going on vacation tomorrow, Thursday, June 29th and will not return until after the holiday, but there is no rush on this end, I have waited months for the checkered stocks to come in and have had no time to shoot for a while anyway, I hope everyone else is enjoying their summer even if I can't seem to get time to do anything!!!....<><....
