:? 'Got a pair of riding boots, old west cut, roper heel, knee-high, pull-straps exposed. They're designed to be worn with the pants tucked inside. I doubt that jodpurs are cowboy-correct, so how do I get my pants legs to stay in without bunching at the knees?

I use a pair of military blousing straps, a elastic band about 2" wide with velcro ends. I just cuff my pants to length fold over put on the band and pull on my boots. Works great.

When I was in the Army, and I didn't have any blousing straps handy, masking tape or 100 MPH tape (Army issue duct tape) was a pretty effective field expedient means of blousing.

You can get blousing straps at www.uscav.com, and probably lots of other similar sites cheaper.

When you blouse, you can do it one of two ways...either "peg leg", whereby you take one fold from the back of the pant leg and fold it neatly toward your inboard, or you can take the seem on each side and fold both sides toward the rear. These are the two most comfortable way I found to blouse my jump boots.

Interesting solutions. I was thinking of stirup pants like the girls used to wear! 'Never had to blouse trousers in the Navy, although we did have leggings so as to look serious on guard duty. :wink:
