myarmor, (sorry for the high-jack)
you ask about efficiency of silencer. A good one and mostly important well installed by a competent smith, doesn't decrease accuracy and even improve accuracy and shooter ability:
. Comfort, no ear plug or protection when alone or all equiped.
. No blast.
. Less recoil, a good silencer is also a good recoil suppressor (40 or 50% less).
. Pleasure to shoot with bird's songs in background.
And i dont't like noise !!!.
You may shoot full house with the sound of a 22lr or use quietly subso ammo.
I use them with all my rifles, 22lr and an incoming 222rem.
I'm just a paper puncher and only at the club's range.
My rifle isn't unique, H&R use the same stock for the "Ultra fluted", they add 2 swivel studs.
I like the KT15 . Enough power for target shooting, fixed is easier to be well done and give more light (i'm also not bothered by choosing a magnification :-) ). The good surprise, when i receive-it, was the semi-target turrets ?! (Half-height target turret, zeroable). Perform well, even compared to a Leupold 6-18x40.
