Anybody seen one yet? Live in person?
I just got my latest issue of OGS and there is a article about a double chambered contender barrel made by OTT. Its called the Jackel and comes in rimfire only(the barrel in the article was a 22 wmr on bottom and a 22lr on top). Apprently avaiable in any combo of rimfire calibers it looks really neat. I think a carbine in duel 22lr would be one cool/usefull of this new custom barrel but the double 22lr/22mag is real good as well. Has anybody seen one of these barrels in person and perhaps have more info on price wait time etc? I think I need to start saving my pennies and send an e-mail to OTT real soon!

I saw these a while back. They do look pretty cool but to me it seems a little redundant. I can reload my single about as fast as I can switch the hammer selector so I don't feel like I would gain much. Plus which barrel do you sight the gun in with? Theres no way they will both shoot the same point of aim. Not at an affordable price any way. Just my thoughts.   KN

For that kind of stcratch I could buy a second Contender pistol to carry along with the carbine and in a bigger caliber than 22 mag too(like 357 mag or one of my 32 H&R magnums maybe the 6.5 TCA barrel). Thus having both options open to me anyway and cheaper too! Oh well it is a neat idea just too rich for my blood. Perhaps If I win the "Publishers clearing house" big prise I can buy as many custom Contenders as I want and not worry about having to eat and pay rent too<VBG>
