ENCORE SCOPE HEIGHT ?

Since I took the Hammer spur off my Encore due to misfires, I put the high Leopold rings on it as to have enough room to cock it. It couldnt be done with the medium rings. Even with the high ones on it there isnt much room. What do you guys use?

i put mine on with the one piece weaver base and its no big deal to cock it without a spur. the way i like my scopes, set close to my face...lets me have the hammer below the tube, not the bell....so i dont have to use the spur.

maybe try setting the scope back more?

I use the Warne mounts and high Warne rings. I don't have a problem cocking any of my 4 Encores.  :D

Weaver style rail mount with high rings....I scrape my thumb nail as I cock the hammer with my Burris scope...but that's ok.

I use the medium warne rings.  I guess the ocular of my scope is far enough back that it doesn't interfere with cocking.  It's a VX-II 3-9x40 FWIW
