357 maximum

Hey Guys,
I recently got on of the 357 mag barrels for my handi and was thinking about reaming it to the 357 maximum.  I know that there used to be several reamers floating around out there.  Anybody know where I could find one?  Also how hard is this to do?  Don't want to screw anything up!

If i'm not mistaken LeftoverDJ has the reamer. It's not hard at all. I plan on doing my 44 mag to 445 supermag when i get the chance.

all you do is secure the barrel in a vice and pus the ejector in. Put the reamer in the chamber and turn until the pilot touches the ejector. But make sure you use plenty of cutting oil.

Maybe some other will chime in if this isn't exactly to spec.

You're gonna LOVE this conversion. I've got 4 Handis and the one I reach for first is the MAX.
 When you do the rechamber, remove the ejector spring as it holds the ejector away from the actual rim cut a small amount (watch out when you tap out the pins, it's spring loaded). It only takes a couple of turns with the reamer; run it in until it touches the existing rim cut in the barrel.
 Use a sharp reamer and don't force it.
 Mine likes the Hornady 200, the Speer 180 and 220.

Reaming to Maxmum is easy as eating apple pie and ice cream.
 Use plenty of cutting oil, About five minute job.Smoking joe

i rechambered a 357 mag TC Contender barrel with leftoverdjs reamer and it worked good.you cant go wrong and the results are very good.lots of hitting power from a rifle too.go for it

I got my extra .357 & 44 Mag barrels a couple days ago along with 9 other barrels. I want to take both out to max & super mag, so if anybody has the reamer I can rent or send my barrels to them to do let me know. Thamks. Bob.

I got a 22 hornet,7.62x39,30-30,2- 357s,2-44mag,204, 22-250,450 marlin,223,38-55,45-70 bc, 33 in 45-70,22lr,22mag,17 hrm,17 2m, 410-45,12 ga 26 in turkey. am getting ready to order some more. Bob

No got them all on NEF's reduced price program. Except the 2- 17's,.223, 45-70 BC,.221 fireball & 7x57. No bank job just used some mad money. Bob
