Blackhawk grips?
« on: July 22, 2005, 06:39:33 AM »
I am about to purchase a Ruger BlackHawk with a .45acp and .45lc cylinder.

The grips are just to small for my hands. I need a pair of wooden aftermarket grips that are BIG. Any suggestions?

I don't get why Ruger makes a big beefy revolver with grips that only fit "girly man hands"?
I love shotguns! :cb2:

I have a set of Houge grips for my Super Blackhawk that I need to get rid of.  Let me get home and I'll post a pic.

I'll sell them for what they cost me ... too big for my hands, but they are NICE!
:D

Check out this site. Pick out the wood you like and let Cary know how you want your grips cut. In about 2 weeks he will have you grips in the mail. Cary will make them any way you want them and for any ruger grip frame.  Thick, thin, gunfighter, beveled and not beveled or if you are real choosey he will tailor them to your specs. Price is about 100 bucks but the finished product is the finest wood grips you'll see anywhere.

Not a advertisement at all. I own many aftermarket ruger grips includung hogue, eagle, herret and badger. Eagle grips come in second but clc grips are the nicest on the market by far.
