went out saturday morning, shot the omega, topped with a 2x7-32mm mueller scope.
it was 10 am, already about 82 degrees, and muggy. dead still, no wind.
shooting off block and sandbags, which i find extremely steady.
shooting 285 grain spitzer boat-tail Buffalo Bullet SSB (Special Sabot Bullet) over 80 grains of ffg 777.
2 wet swabs and 2 dry swabs between each shot.
shot 1 fouling shot.
next 4 were touching - 3/4" group at 100 yard range.
now, i'm just some guy posting on the internet - so you can believe me or not. i'm not claiming to be a professional - i go to the range a few times a month, practice good shooting form, and the gun does much of the work. this combination with the omega of mine routinely generates sub 1.5" groups at 100 yards.
i never could have had this kind of accuracy with my slug gun shooting the remington copper solids. nothing against the slug itself, but the recoil was too much to shoot effectively for me.
consider a lighter powder charge for best accuracy.
