Anybody use the RWS 46 underlever?
« on: August 25, 2005, 02:36:27 PM »
It seems to be bypassed for more powerful guns, but it's been a decent rifle for me.  The noise level is just about right when neighbors need all the help they can get in minding their own business.

Not yet, but it IS my next purchase.   I like the looks of the loading technique.   I have been shooting a Chinese B-3 underleaver and the idea of not messing with the barrel appeals to me.  It 'seems" like that would add to the potential accuracy.  I just purchased a RWS 350M in .22 and as soon as I get over that, I plan to get the Model 46 in .17 for target (and other things) shooting.  Is it really a 950 fts rifle?  Seems that all air rifle manufacturers fudge - or maybe there is something I'm missing?  What weight pellet works best for you in your gun?

Thanks,

AirCajun

RWS definitely lies about their velocities. You would be lucky to get 800fps with a very light pellet. Mine is well under 800fps with normal weight pellets. But I still like it for what it is.
