Used my nef 45-70 loaded with remington bulk 300gr.h.p.s on a buffalo today.shot was facing me.to the brain.was instant knock down at the shot.didnt get to recover the bullet.max range was 60ydsalso fired 1 more to the brain from a 223 mini14 for insurance.they did nt want the skull broken up from a second shot with the 45-70.buffalo was a 2year old bull.not a hunt but a shoot in a 3500 acre pasture.thought id post.thanks
