looking at ordering cpa stevens441/2 replica in .30-40krag with extra bbl. in .30-30. will be used for schuetzen type shooting. I already have brass and dies for these cals. Is this a good rifle cartidge combo for this type of shooting or should I go with something else? TIA

Greg,
I don't know if you are interested in the Ruger No. 1, but there is a really nice one for bid on Auction Arms.  It's a Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Limited Edition, #50 of 60.  It's a No.1 RSI in 30/40 Krag.  Very nice looking.

Greg,

   You should check out:

http://talk.shooters.com/room_54/topics.cfm

It's a board dedicated to shuetzen guys. I believe that most of the traditional shuetzen shooters are shooting 32-40s and 38-55s. But, it's not my lane.

You might not be able to register on that board. If you can't, just PM me and I'll post for ya and try toget you in touch with one of the regulars.

Good Luck,

  Chuck
