6,5x57R, and 5,6x50R

Anyone have any experience with either of these two cartridges?

They both use std. diameter bullets, so any cartridge that pushes "that" diameter and weight of bullet would tell you how well they do on game.    (example, 6.5x57R and the 260 Remington)

  I know they have been around a while and there's no problems with the basic case design, so if they will meet your needs for your use, they should be good.

  I really like "rimmed" cases in break open guns!!

Thanks Drilling Man.  I like them, and think they are pretty neat.  I'm looking for brass and reloading dies..........  pretty scarce

RCBS has dies,  RWS has the brass.  

  At one time i was thinking of useing the 5.6x50R for some wildcatting, and i didn't have any problems buying RWS brass in that cal..

  6.5x57R is just necked down 7x57R ect.. so that's not such a hard one to come up with either.

No 'smartassing' but this is not quite true: 6,5x57 and 6,5x57 R are older compared to 7x57 and 7x57 R, with the shoulder more forward.
The rimmed version - forming 6,5x57 R out of the more common 7x57 R - is normally no a problem because the headspacing rim is fixing the round while the fireforming process.
