Any real problems in your area this year?
« on: July 30, 2005, 10:07:13 AM »
In my area there has been no real problems this year with blight, droughts or anything.  Seems like rain arrives just in time from week to week.

The Orchards looked fine for Peaches.   Apples almost look like a bumper crop.  Pears and Plums are holding their own

The farms look good for Corn, Soybeans etc.

Except for excessive heat on some days most crops look like it should be a good year.  Even the home vegetable and flower gardens are doing well without too much tending.

Even the home-made wine and jelly is going good with the recent berry crop.

I even made some home made Snapping Turtle soup earlier this month and froze some for later.  Today a friend of mine called and told me he has another Turtle, so in another week........in the pot he goes.
