357 spherical powder?

looking for a good (hopefully cheap) spherical powder for 357 mag. its a short barrel revolver, so i'd really preffer a light recoiling powder, with high velocity possibilities. 110 gr. jhp. I like how spherical powders meter, but its hard to figure out if there flake , extrude, or what by reading the data manuals, so some help is appreciated

For .357Mag loads out of a snubbie.................Win 231 may be your best bet.   Faster powders like Red Dot & IMR700-X can work in .38Spcl snubbie loads, but are usually too fast for decent .357 loads.  ALTHOUGH, those other too may work with the lighter 110gr bullets - I've never tried bullets lighter than 158gr.

As far as spherical powders go, Accurate Arms offers many that are good for the 357 Magnum and 110-125 grain bullets.  AA#2, AA#5, AA#7, and AA#9 can all be used.  #9 will give you the most velocity, but it starts with a load of somewhere around 16 grains.  #2 will give you about 200 fps less velocity, but the starting load is around 8 grains or about half the charge.  The other 2 fall inbetween as could be expected.
