looking for anybody that has been using this bullet. I am thinking about taking them out west this year for my pronghorn/mulie hunt. I'll be using my 7 mag with 139 grain bullets. Anybody with interbond experience?

I tried them in 2 7m-08s, a 7mm and a 308. Was never impressed with their accuracy. Typically 1 1/2". Tried differnt powders, primers etc... did not make much difference. Although, contrary to some people, I would take Sierra or Nosler any day over Hornady. With factory ammo or reloads my buddy, sons and myself never had great grouping with Hornady bullets.

I would go with the Nosler Accubond or Sierra GameKings myself.

I agree somewhat with longwinters - I would choose a Partition any day over an Interlock. If you load the 7mm Mag to its potential it will push the 139-140g bullets to 3200fps, and that, IMHO, is too fast for standard "cup and core" bullets.

In my order of preference at velocities over 2900fps:

1. A-Frame, Trophy Bonded, North Fork
2. TSX, XLC
3. Partition or Grand Slam

At 3200fps I would stick with bullets from lists #1 or #2.

I think you are on the right track, except I use the 154 grain Hornady Interbond in my 280 Rem AI at 2950 fps. I think you will get much better performance from the heavier bullet. As far as accuracy goes they shoot .9" five-shot 100 yard groups in my rechambered Weatherby Mark V Lightweight Synthetic. The results speak for themselves.

I have been using the 139 Interbond in my 7mm Rem ahead of 68 grains or RL 22. Shoots fine out of my rifle and works absolutely great on the game I have killed. You really wont need it for antelope, but it is a fine mulie/elk bullet. Much, much, better than the interlock. I've not been able to recover one yet cause they have all passed through. If your gun will shoot them ok, then they will work fine. Hope this helps.

Thats what I'm using for my bear hunt, 338 cal. 250gr RN interbond bullets. I tested them out buy shooting them thru phone books about 14"
and they held together and I called Hornady. He said that they would brake bones. So I will find out.

Hornady does not make a .338" 250 grain Interbond RN, they do make a .338" 250 grain Interlock RN. The only Hornady Interbond in .338" is a 225 grain.

Sorry my mistake

So I guess I tested the Interlock 250gr R.N. Hornady 338 Dia. bullet. The tests came out satifactory to me that why I using it for my Black Bear hunt.
