Camper shell interchangability

I've got the idea into my head to put a camper on my 94 short wide Chevrolet Does anyone know if shells offin other makes or older bodystyles will fit?

There are two types of shell sold these days. One is a specific fit to your truck and yours alone. That's the type I have. They will even color match it to your truck. Mine when sitting on my 2005 Tundra makes it look like an SUV.

The other is a more generic fit. Most full size trucks are pretty much standard in width and length of bed. Not all but most. So a short bed full size generic should fit reasonably well on any of the big three short full size trucks. Most all of the aluminum ones are like this. Some of the fiberglass ones are too. The top likely won't fit dead even with top of your cab and the sides might hang over a wee tad or not get fully out to the sides but will fit well enough to lock down and stay in place.

There is really no way tho to be 100% sure except ask the maker or try it for fit.
