Normally I go for the singleshot, old'timey type firearms. Examples: Handy guns, Sharps, Ballards, hammered SxS shotguns, rolling blocks, SA revolvers, etc..

BUT, the only muzzleloaders I like are inline hi-tech bolt action in stainless steel with synthetic stocks..

Does that make any sense at all?? :? :?

I've shot and hunted with a lot of side hammers and flintlocks, but I still prefer my inlines, now. I see nothing wrong with the H&R front loaders, except they're illegal here due to their enclosed ignition.

nothing... nothing at all...

In fact, I'm ordering a .243/50cal Combo SB2 this week.. Gonna try the 243 out on g-hogs, and maybe lend it out to my cousin's 14yo boy to use this deer season.

Its just that the Traditions Evolution Long Distance and the Savage 10ML-II smokeless muzzleloaders have my attention something bad for this season. Not sure which one I'll end up with in the end..

PA has two muzzleloader seasons now. The early is antlerless with any type of muzzleloader. ...flintlock, percussion sidelock, inline. ...with any type of sights. all is legal.

The late season is flintlock only with v-notch/traditional sights only.

I'm not too worried about getting out in the late season. Less deer alive, the remaining are spooked to death, colder part of winter.. lol

Might be blasphamey. Look at the cva optima elite. I have a optima pro and love it.

Most of the inlines look like someone tried to reinvent the wheel the NEF is the only one that makes any sense. But since i got my lyman great plains well before i caught the handi bug that's one barrel i won't be getting.
