I still can't believe it!
« on: August 14, 2005, 02:09:20 PM »
Went over my friends house today.
He called me a couple of weeks ago, said he was selling some of his handguns. Jesus, he must have a 100 or more.
I asked why he was selling them. He said his son and him were getting into rebuilding older cars. And they are putting alot money into a 69 Charger.
Anyway, I went over there and looked, he had the Model 83 in 44mag. that he had bought when I bought my model 97 44spl. See another post back in Jan or first of Feb.
So I asked him what he wanted for it, Heck, he never even fired it since he bought it.
Get this.... $1000.00 for it. Man I could not believe it. That's a $2000.00 gun. So... I wrote him a check for that amount. $1000.00.  :-)
It's the Model 83 w/ a 7-1/2 inch barrel Premier Grade. With Black Micarta grips and a factory 3-1/4 lb. trigger pull.
I still think I'm dreaming.  :shock:

Dusty, Scott;

Believe me, I don't find things like that ever. This is a one time occurence for me.
I don't want to brag, heck, I really could not afford it. But it's one of those things that come along once in a lifetime.
Thanks for the replies.
I think I'm just gonna feed it cast bullets. Some 250gr. Keith and some 265gr. RNFP-gas checks.
What do you think?
