Lazer sight for a Ruger P345
« on: February 23, 2005, 02:54:26 PM »
This will be a home defense / plinking pistol. What is available out there and what should I steer clear of? I really like the Crimson Trace grips but I don't know if they are available for this particular piece. Any advise o wise ones?

Crimson Trace isn't apt to offer grips for a gun that doesn't use grip panels.  They rework Glocks to take a laser, but the Ruger isn't going to generate enough business for them to do that.  Just find a good tactical light to put on the accesory rail, and you'll be able to use the stock sights on the Ruger.  There are some flashlight/laser combos out there that mount on the rail, if you're set on having a laser.

Recently purchased a Ruger KP-345PR 45 auto ($419 from Davidsons) and a M6 Tactical Laser - Light combo ($279 from OMBPS Police Supply).   Will let your know how it shoots.
