It came to me that I usually use the same brass from shoot to shoot.  Add to bring the amount up to what I need but pretty much the same brass gets shot over and over.  I do have a bunch of extra but keep using the same brass.

Was wondering how may "cycle" their brass?  that is use all of their brass rather than just the same cases over and over vs those cowboys that work all their brass though the loading/shooting cycle.

you can tell I have some time on my hands :grin:  :grin:

Donno pard, I got about 700 rounds of brass, I load em all up, I shoot em all up, and then I load em again! :-D

I TRY to rotate my stock, but ;
If I use half a box of old reloads and refill it with new reloads, AARGH!
Maybe I should never shoot less than a whole box!? :roll:

Reason I asked is I tumble my match brass, then deprime and clean the primere pockets (new thing--seeing if it helps our misfires).  That takes a bit of time so...

I pull out the brass that has already been tumbled, deprimed and pockets cleaned and use them so I can replace what I shot.  I can do this quickly on my SDB.

Just was wondering what the others did,

I use'em till they die.  Usually, split mouths or sides.  I got 500 brand new Starline 45 Colt as backup and been using another 500+ mixed brass since 91 with some added new brass from other pards that don't reload.  For 38's, most of my brass are all once fired and others keep giving me their empties after the match.  Whatever I shoot stays on the ground.  :wink:

Gave up cleaning primer pockets before I even started CAS.  Just wasn't worth the time and effort.  I don't load for speed so I run my finger on each finished cartridge to check the primer height.  Never had a misfire or squib since I started reloading way back.   :-)

Howdy......
I have about 1500 rounds of 45 colt. When I get down to about 700 I reload and put the 'new stuff' in the back and move the 'older stuff' to the front.
