Dang'est thing I ever saw.
« on: July 25, 2005, 05:27:07 AM »
I hope I can explain this where it makes sense. Yesterday I went to the range with my brother-in-law, I had my Encore Pistol in .308, he had his Rem 300 Ultra Mag. He was shooting paper targets and I was shooting a 3/8" steel plate 4x4" square at 200 yds. I was banging the heck out of the plate making lots of little craters in the steel and he asked if he could shoot it with his Monster Gun. I said no because I did'nt want my plate messed up, but finally I gave in and said go ahead. I watched his first shot hit , heard the SMACK and told him do one more. This time my hanger stand departed the berm and landed in the gully behind the targets. When we drove down to check it out, we found that when the bullets hit,THE COPPER JACKET WAS STILL INTACT AND STICKING OUT OF THE FRONT OF THE STEEL PLATE the lead portion had gone all the way through leaving a monster hole.

Take a digital picture and post it up.  That sounds like a good one.
