Hi Fellas,
I've had 2 tech force rifles now and I wanted to share with you my opions on these for those of you who might buy them in the future.
Tech Force 25: This was the first adult rifle I bought. I enjoyed it very much but had little to compare it to at the time. I got this in .22, and the lower velocity combined with a significant barrel droop made it difficult to shoot much beyond about 15-20 yards. Hold over at 20 yards was about 6 inches. It shot fairly hard and crow magnums seemed to shoot quite well out of it. The accuracy with all pellets I tried left something to be desired as it was over half dollar size at 10 yards. It took its fair share of birds, but with the rainbow trajectory it was hard to kill rabbits and crows because of lack of ability to get consistant head shots (not enough power to always kill with the body shots over 15 yards). All in all it was a nice rifle, but definetly I would have been better off spending the money on a little bit higher rifle.
Tech Force 99M: This time around I got it in .177 caliber because the trajectory of my last rifle drove me a bit nuts. At 10 yards (zero) no dime is safe, and I wouldn't want to be a quarter at 20 (shoots 1 inch high). Thats very good considering I don't have a steady hand. Now the concern with .177 is that I would have more trouble killing things than with the 22. Over the past 24 hours the 32 dead bunnies and 1 crow have told me otherwise. This rifle has been renamed "The Murder Master". I'm not sure exactly how hard it is shooting, but it sure gets the job done.
To sum up, I highly recommend the Tech Force 99M. This has been a great rifle to shoot for its low cost. As for pellets, the only thing that matters is accuary. Don't worry about style or ballistic co-efficient if you can hit things in the head.
Thank you for those who directed me towards this fine rifle (Lawdog especially). If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
