Laminated stocks... where can I find price?
« on: July 30, 2005, 06:01:08 PM »
I know there have been threads here on the forum about getting info on laminated stocks from the factory, but I can't seem to find any.

Anybody help with this... or just tell me price for a laminated or any other 'fancy' stock that might be available from the factory.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers
Kerry

Laminated, checkered stock sets are $103.xx shipped, now. Post which one are you interested in and I'll post the part numbers.

If you are looking at a cinnamon set, for another $40 you can get a Ultra Varmint .22 Mag frame and barrel. Just a thought.

Figgered it would be answered by you Tim... you are fast!

I don't know which one I want yet, just shopping. I've been looking at pics of some of them on this site and elsewhere (yours and Mac's pics included :-) ) but I couldn't find prices for any laminated on the H&R website.

Basically I'm curious about what is available, and about the price for the laminated, checkered and plain. And any other fancy-ish possibilities.

My first step away from standard looks was when I bought a Mannlicher forearm in April and put it on my 357 with a basic (aka pallet wood) stock - and I do like the way it looks.

Generally I'm happy with the wood and synthetic stocks I have now.... but dang.. some of those guns in those pics are awful pretty.

And yeah Busta, that's something I have been considering as well... Maybe I'll just buy a new rifle!

The 2004 list doesn't list checkered or plain lam stocks, it just say laminated. I have written down the camo lam checkered stock set number, so I suspect those on the list are uncheckered. Maybe the new list will have em both. They do show straight grip as well as monte carlo camo and cinnamon laminate, no other lam colors, though.....no gray!! Survivor, Tamer and the usual walnut finish(pallet wood) in pistol, straight and monte carlo.....plus the youth stocks in straigh or monte carlo.

Hey Tallyho- Ever thought about  a BC or even the Topper Deluxe Classic walnut stocks? These are nice too.

myarmor,

Yeah I really do like the looks of the BC stock (and the Topper Deluxe Classic looks like a decent piece of walnut in the pics) but I think I'd be better off with one of the Ultra stocks with the Monte Carlo cheek piece... gonna have it on a scoped rifle.

I have my 357 mag barrel on an action with a non Monte Carlo, and it comes up and fits perfectly to look right down the iron sights, not so when I put on a barrel with a scope mounted.

Cheers
