Will burris signature dove tail rings hold up to a 454 casull encore?

What is the sense in preserving collectible items just so they can be auctioned off by uncaring heirs for their pecuniary value ? I am inclined to believe that vintage cars are to be driven, old wine is to be drank, and fine guns are to be shot.

Rifle or handgun? Barrel length? Size/weight of scope? All will make a difference.

The 454 is a 12" barrel on an thompson center encore frame. The scope is a Burris 3-12x32 LER

Maybe, maybe not. But I had them on a Tikka T3 rifle in .338 WIN MAG and the rear wind. adj. screw snapped upon recoil. I'm a Warne and Leupold guy myself - I am sure they have something that will work for you.
