In a quandary
« on: August 11, 2005, 06:03:12 PM »
I bought a .22 Hornet back around Easter and finally decided to send the barrel out to be rechambered to K Hornet.  Since the barrel will be gone for a while, I sent the rest of the rifle back to have a 30-30 barrel fitted.  Because of the way you guys romanticize the 45/70, I almost added one  to the order.  Now, I haven't hunted in probably 25 years and have no practical use for a 30-30, much less a 45/70, but I'm not sure I'll ever be happy until I get one.  Since the receiver's there and the special barrel program is on, I think I've either got to order one or be talked out of it.  Help!

I agree,I will have 3 complete rifles in less in a year. Oh and I have to order some barrels next week. I started with one and it has been just pure desire since. I just can't help it.

Get them both...you'll have 2 of the best calibers going...and they are plain fun to shoot...and if and when you decide to go hunting...you will be all set...

Thanks, everyone, for your advice.  I just placed the order with customer service.  Apparently called just in time, they said it was ready to ship.  If they would have shipped it this afternoon, the turnaround time would have been less than a week!!!
