Has anyone tried Tasco's repair service?
« on: August 08, 2005, 11:57:26 AM »
I am considering a Tasco Super Sniper scope but heard a couple of bad reports about repair work. One came back the way he sent it.

Has anyone used the new service and with what results? Thanks.

I don't think tasco is still in business, I had to return my tasco scope to bushnell. And the service I got was - sorry we don't honer thier warranty. I had to send it to a place called ABO and have the scope serviced and paid for by me. NO more tascos or bushnells for me.

Bushnell Peformance Optics bought Tasco out of bankruptcy in 2002....

ABO may be your only choice depending on when the scope was made....

Typical Bushnell customer service by misleading customers into thinking they can get their Tascos repaired just to get the $10 handling fee.

TASCO isn't even good enough to be considered JUNK.  Try something else.  Seeing Bushnell owns Tasco I would try another brand other than these two.  Lawdog

Chris Ferris told me that some outfit in Japan made the SS scope, (he didn't say who) not Tasco, and that Bushnell imported them and supplied the warranty. That doesn't sound very promising.
