Hi all,

Im thinking of picking up these two barrels for my Encore, and was hoping to find what the rate of twist was for each of these calibers.

The .223 can also be had in a bull barrel, how does this feel? Is it too muzzle heavy, or does it feel OK? With the .223, Id like to be able to see my shot after I fired, is there any muzzle flip with the regular contour, or is the heavy barrel better?

How is the 270? Is there much flip with this? How about the recoil?

How do you find each of these calibers shoot? What is your set up?

I believe that the 223 is 1-14"and the 270 is 1-10". These should bolth be great barrels for you. :agree:
You should like the bull barrel in the 223 I like the balance in my 223AI bull barrel.Neither one of this calibers is high in recoil.

I'm not sure, but I think that all T/C 22 caliber centerfire barrels (and 22 wmr) made in the last few years have a 1 in 12" twist.

I have a bull barrel 204, like the balance real well. ( and accuracy!)

Yup....1:12 on the 223 and 1:10 on the 270.

If you worry about recoil in a 270, install a Limbsaver recoil pad on your Encore stock. They are prefit and do a great job of making felt recoil less of a problem. It took me less than 5 minutes to install.
