.22 shorts OK?
« on: October 15, 2005, 04:15:44 AM »
I've got a Taurus model 94 .22 revolver. The stamping on the barrel says 22LR. The manual says use only the ammunition which is stamped on the barrel.
My question: Can I use 22 shorts in this gun? If not, can anyone explain why not?  :?

Thanks, OTR

You can shoot shorts, longs, long rifles, and shot shells through it just fine.

Using Shorts might leave a ring of residue in the cambers that might make loading and ejecting of Long Rifles sticky.  I'd recomend running a brush through each chamber before switching.

Not a problem. I do it all the time. What Shorty said.
