What scope are you planing on using on these those of us reaming & those that have reamed or sticking with open sights. I need a couple of new scopes for new aquisitions

This should be great for the uses intented for this rifle set up.

I put a Tasco 1.5 X 4.5 Shotgun scope on mine and it works very well for me. It's fast on target,and provides enough magnifacation for the limits of the 445 or 45 70. Digger

With a 6 moa dot, I wouldn't plan on shooting any groups at 100yds!! :eek: I'd look for one with a 2 or 3moa at least....

I just looked thru Digger's Tasco not fifteen minutes ago and we measured the eye relief on 4.5 power and at 1.5 power and they are the same.....3 1/2" therabouts. It is clear and I have even shot the gun with it on there and it is easy to aquire target. I'll probably go with one on my 445SM or .......maybe one of either of these.

I'm not through working up a load for it yet, maybe after that!!! I found the Federal 160gr NP loads for it on close out somewhere....don't remember where....maybe Sportsmans Guide??? Got a box....
